Theo left his village to hone his skill as a conjurer after his grandmother, who was the clan healer, passed away. He started to take up adventuring as a way to maintain himself in the city-state of Gridania, away from those he'd known his whole life. He had much difficulty in the beggining - people in Gridania were much more extroverted than he'd been used to, and that only got worse as his adventures led him to other Eorzean city-states. The love of adventuring and the friends he made in the Scions of the Seventh Dawn took him very, very far.
