july-august 2024
haven't posted here in a while because i started having difficulty doing even the bare minimum to keep on with my life. many of my sidequests were abandoned or paused in the meantime, and my weblog ended up suffering for it. i am posting this here even though i haven't finished the homepage redesign like i wanted to - even though i love homepages with lots of information and many blocks, it's very high maintenance as it's become obvious recently, i can't keep it up. but i'll do a big recap of everything that happened in july and august, as far as i remember, have it written down, and have it on my photo gallery.
- played one of the most epic 'the game of life' boardgame matches of my life
- think it was after going to a japanese culture event, spending too long in food lines and ending up going to a friends home since it started raining
- finally upgraded my computer and now i have a less ancient motherboard and CPU
- ate a lot of mandarin oranges
- got together with some friends to make decorations for a festa agostina (a rescheduled festa junina) (T/N: wikipedia page for festa junina)
- made a lot of little paper flags... that ended up not being used.
- on this same day i got the oportunity to test a game a friend of mine is developing! unfortunately i'm bad at it
- saw more foggy days than i had ever seen in my whole life. i found out afterwards it wasn't fog but forest fire smoke
- started listening to visual kei again... listened to shinjuku gewalt's entire discography and got a little bit obssessed
- also relistened to everything by metronome, that i've enjoyed for a long time now, and explored more stuff byfloppy, who are surprisingly very consistently good
- gave a chance to cali≠gari, that i hadn't ever hear before and loved it, and found out that buck-tick is actually truly really good
- had my first real babysitting session with my niece, who was 6 months old. she slept through it all, wasn't too exciting
- after going to the botanical garden for the first time in june, i went two times more in july and saw even more capybaras
- aquired a new computer chair after my old one shouted its last painful shout and broke dramatically doing a death drop on the floor
- found out my old chair was awful after seeing how comfortable and ergonomic my new chair is
- learned how to make indian chai at home! it's really good
- finally went to the previously mentioned festa agostina
- saw dear friends again after a long time, heard some hot gossip and ate a lot of candy. did not win the bingo
- went to ANOTHER japanese culture event, in another place, and this time enjoyed it more. even saw some danganronpa cosplayers
- aquired a shadow the hedgehog minifig from burger king, thought about keeping it, and decided to gift it to a friend of mine who, honestly, deserves it more than i do
- had an ugly fight with some friends after a tierlist about home appliances sowed discord on our discord server. i love toasters and no one can take this from me
- in some moment, i think beggining of august, i started to watch one piece again. i saw like 120 episodes in a month
- to my joy, some weeks after one of my friends announced his one piece themed costume birthday party
- i decided to go as crocodile as it was the easiest costume to make with the clothing i had on my wardrobe (i only needed a hook, which i bought on a costume shop)
- on my google image searches to get costume reference pictures i stumbled upon the theory that crocodile is actually luffy's biological mother
- asked my friends who watch one piece about it and they told me it's a really famous but insane theory, and that him being luffy's mother is a stretch but him being a trans man does make sense
- crocodile became my favorite one piece character
- went to a bar with ex-work colleagues, who were for the most part being fired from the workplace we shared. you could say i was ahead of my time
- went to my friends one piece themed birthday!
- besides me as crocodile, we had a zoro, luffy, nami, chopper, brook, nico robin, sabo, rob lucci and soka (from avatar the last airbender. from the crossover episode. you guys watched that one, right?)
- i'm still unemployed, now for over a year. the future is as uncertain as ever

- did not watch ANY movies in august. too busy watching one piece

let's go. i'll try to post all of the animations i haven't posted here yet, even if they weren't made in july/august. i will not post non-animation drawings since they're a lot less organized and idk if i can find them
i hate how this one turned out and stopped posting art in these mainly because of this
