APRIL 2024
april was kind of a weird month.
- watched the walking dead for the first time from season one halfway to the second part of season eight in a very unique experience.
- binged through it very quickly until i got halfway through season 8, where i had to stop due to Grief
- consuming tv shows, movies, books and etc in this obssessive manner is something i did often when i was younger, and i rarely do nowadays. it's an absurd experience, as if i were on drugs the whole time i'm in this State. afterwards i experience a sort of post-nut clarity
- i have all of my thoughts about everything that happens in the show registered because i kept texting moria, a friend of mine, with all of my reactions. i thought about eventually setting up a post compiling all of it but i'll only get to it when i finish the whole show
- it was great to enter this trance-like state but it simply set the whole rest of my life off balance. all the habits i made an effort to create were violently demolished. i am now gathering the broken pieces
- applied to a job opening i knew i wouldn't get hired for
- that did not stop me from getting sad
- aquired the entirety of a song of ice and fire in english in an used bookstore because it was very cheap
- now i have to read it all.
- suffered wanting to buy tickets for an Oingo Boingo Former Members(tm) concert but didn't because i can't afford it
- for some reason i'm using tumblr a lot more frequently again
- managed to fall in love with yakuza 0 - still haven't finished it
input
books/texts
- read mistborn by brandon sanderson
- reading notes from the underground by dostoyevsky
- it's bookbug's book for april, and i've been wanting to read it for a long time, ever since i got a copy as a gift from a dear friend. i am not enjoying it
- reading a game of thrones by george r r martin
- much better than i expected
movies
- duna part two
- third time watching this i'm done (still like it)
- mad max fury road
- thought it was good but thought i should have enjoyed it more
- RRR
- best afternoon tv movie ever made
- civil war
- did i enjoy it solely because i watched it in a movie theater while chomping through a huge popcorn bucket and staring at wagner moura's face on the big screen? maybe. but i thought it was very fun. i'm scared to look at it too closely and see it fall apart
- swing girls
- went in expecting a mildly fun movie but it surprised me a lot. it's the most positive and happy movie i've ever seen maybe, but in a very natural way?
- nana
- i had already started watching the anime but never finished it. was surprised when i found out the movie is older than the anime! it seems like a very good adaptation to me, the story is great, but i have issues with movies that don't work by themselves (the story clearly does not end in the film's ending and if there wasn't a second movie it wouldn't make much sense. i don't like this)
- cruising
- leather daddy al pacino. that's all i have to say
- zero day
- true crime documentary but fake. i liked it
- submarine
- was aggressively disappointed by this one
- batman
- robert pattinson's one! had already watched it before. really love it
- nana 2
tv shows
- completly consumed by the walking dead
- Grimes Family FanClub Official
- continued watching dungeon meshi
- love watching weekly anime
- watched a bit of it's always sunny in philadelphia
- indescribable feelings for charlie kelly
games
- back to playing yakuza 0
- i really love majima.......... my wanting to play all of the games in this series is back with full force
- played a bit of animal crossing new horizons
- but want to play it more often since my partner is playing it and it's a fun game to play when you have a friend to share things with
- played a bit of ffxiv
- the yokai watch event is punishing me severly
